What a good idea. Or we could try that other type of bottled stuff and send him off to the Glen of Tranquillity.

You could always resort to distraction therapy - on the gamie that is! (I've heard that Grouse - of the bottled variety - works wonders!)

Hi Clare, and thanks! The osprey is still around, we've been watching it fish up at the loch. I just hope the gamie doesn't notice it's pinching all the best stock.

How exciting - and how wonderful if it does decide to settle near you. Your location - ticks aside - sounds quite idyllic.
Your site and blog look great - hope you reap the rewards.

Hi Rodney
Thanks for your comment. I didn't know their straight-ahead vision is poor. That's a good tip for future hare-watching.

Interesting to read about your hare experiences and long may you continue to enjoy them. Not surprised to hear about one coming close to you. They have 360 vision, but that straight ahead is quite poor, so they come trundling up before they realise you are there.

Hi Rod

You're right, it's a bit hit and miss with the weather, but it's worth sacrificing the chance to wear your bikini to experience it all. When I first took my husband to the west coast for a summer holiday it was scorching for days on end. Afterwards we compared photos with a friend who'd spent the same week in the Dodecanese (Greece) and you couldn't tell the difference.

Wow, sounds great. I've done a little canoeing here and there, but never on the open ocean - I guess I'd be a bit worried about having to get the NSRI out of their beds in the wee hours...

Scotland is a beautiful place - if only it were a few degrees warmer! But then I guess it'd be bustling with tourists, so there's something to be thankful for.
